FONTAINEBLEAU MIAMI BEACH OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF FRANK SINATRA’S CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

unnamed-8Fontainebleau Miami Beach commences the 100 day countdown to Frank Sinatra’s centennial birthday, which officially began on September 3. During the 100 days of unique programming to celebrate the legacy of Frank Sinatra, Fontainebleau pays tribute to the treasured singer with a lineup of events and activations that embrace a piece of Golden Era glamour.
 
Representing a special time in Fontainebleau’s history, Sinatra vacationed at the iconic hotel in his permanent penthouse suite on the seventeenth floor while filming and performing at the property. The singer often headlined sold out midnight shows at the hotel’s La Ronde Supper Club, taking the stage alongside The Rat Pack’s Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. Beloved movies, ‘A Hole in the Head’, ‘Tony Rome’, and ‘Lady in Cement’ were also filmed on property, and The Frank Sinatra Timex Show, ‘Welcome Home Elvis’ was broadcasted at the landmark hotel, breaking TV viewing records. 
 
Fontainebleau’s Frank Sinatra 100 Day Birthday Celebration will continue through December 12, 2015, which would be the singers 100th birthday, highlights include: 
 
THE FRANK SINATRA PHOTO GALLERY OFFICAL UNVEILING & LAUNCH OF “SINATRA – EXCLUSIVE LIMITED EDITION BOOK”
Fontainebleau along with Frank’s granddaughters, A.J. Lambert and Amanda Erlinger to host the official unveiling of The Frank Sinatra Photo Gallery and the launch of “Sinatra – Exclusive Limited Edition Book” compiled by Frank’s granddaughter, Amanda Erlinger on September 30. The event will host key influencers along with Phililp Goldfarb, President and Chief Operating Officer at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, for an intimate occasion as the hotel celebrates the book’s launch and welcomes guests to view the collection of images. 
 
The Frank Sinatra Photo Gallery, featuring 34 original, authentic images including rare and vintage personal photos curated by the Sinatra Family Archive, the Capitol Records and Warner Bros. Records archives, renowned photographer Terry O’Neill and the estate of Ben and Bernice Novack, the original owners of Fontainebleau. Located in the upper spine corridor between the Chateau Lobby and Fontainebleau’s Main Drive entrance, guests will experience never-before-seen photos of Ol’ Blue Eyes including “The Chairman of the Board,” a photo of Sinatra, his stunt double and his bodyguards on the boardwalk at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, walking to the set of Lady in Cement. 
 
Select images from the photo gallery are available for purchase at Morris & Co. Each fine art print comes with a certificate of authenticity and are fully endorsed and licensed by Frank Sinatra Enterprises.

NIGHTLY TOAST AT BLEAU BAR
Fontainebleau will kick off a nightly toast at the legendary Bleau Bar beginning September 2. Each night at 6:30 p.m., guests of the hotel will be invited to enjoy a sample of Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select whiskey in honor of Sinatra’s upcoming birthday.

1950s-INSPIRED MENUS 
Signature restaurants will pay homage to Sinatra with inspired menu options that highlight Glamour-Era defining dishes. StripSteak by Michael Mina will serve throwback, ‘Brunch with Frank’ dishes each Sundaywith menu highlights including wood roasted prime rib with fresh horseradish, butter poached lobster with hollandaise and asparagus, a wild mushroom crepe accompanied by sauce Mornay and fresh herbs, and a savory Monte Cristo with speck, morbier and blackberry jam—along with craft cocktails. Additionally, Chez Bon Bon has created Jack Daniel’s spiked truffles and Sinatra-themed cakes in honor of the sultan of swoon for sale at the hotel’s original coffee and patisserie shop.
Sundays starting September 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
 
Monthly intimate dinners will be hosted by Jack Daniel’s at Scarpetta, StripSteak by Michael Mina and Michael Mina 74.  Each restaurant will feature a five-course menu highlighting Sinatra’s favorite meals at Fontainebleau.

For guests who want to “Live Like Frank”, the hotel will offer a Sinatra-inspired package for $1,915, commemorating the year Frank was born. SINATRA SPA SPECIALS AT LAPIS SPA
Lapis, the luxurious spa retreat at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, is offering treatments fit for Ol’ Bleau Eyes himself. Two signature services will be offered throughout the 100 day celebration including ‘My Way’ which includes a Bleau Private Experience for two for $119, a savings of $120 and ‘Live at the Sands Casino’ which includes a men’s hot shave by Lapis Salon’s skilled barbers and a buff manicure with use of spa facilities for $116, a savings of $42. Additionally, new special will be introduced each month in honor of Frank Sinatra.

THE SHOPS AT FONTAINEBLEAU
For guests looking to take a piece of history home, the official 100th anniversary book, “Sinatra 100” by Charles Pignone and “Sinatra – Exclusive Limited Edition Book” compiled by Frank’s granddaughter, Amanda Erlinger. For a musical souvenir, guests can purchase the “Ultimate Sinatra CD”, a 4-CD compilation album that features select songs for the Chairman of the Board’s 100th year. Frank Sinatra inspired vintage items including bowtie cufflinks, water bottles, flasks, shot glasses, hats, t-shirts and canvas bags will also be available. For all Frank Sinatra-inspired items, guests can stop by Morris & Co. across from the Chateau front desk and Bleau Signature adjacent to the hotel’s poolscape. 
 
#LIVELIKEFRANK SOCIAL MEDIA CONTEST 
Fontainebleau will also launch a social media contest as part of the 100 day celebration of the legendary singer’s birthday. The contest, titled #LIVELIKEFRANK, invites participants to create a moment which reflects how they live a glamorous lifestyle. Contestants will have to submit or share their photo to enter to win a trip to Fontainebleau Miami Beach. One grand prize winner will win two round-trip coach airfare tickets within the continental US, three-night, four-day stay at the hotel, one vintage swag bag with a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select, two Lapis Spa 50-minute treatments and one dinner for two at StripSteak by Michael Mina.
