Fashion and philanthropic spirit were in the air at “Fashionistas Haven“, Bal Harbour Shops on October 13, 2009. Elle Magazine presented Personal Style Awards hosted by ELLE executive accessories editor, Kate Davidson Hudson where ten of Miami’s most fashionable and stylish women were honored for their philanthropic contributions throughout the community. Styled in looks by selected brands from Bal Harbour Shops, the honorees were presented a special gift from Tiffany & Co.
The ten celebrated women were from various charitable organizations throughout Miami. The honorees were Sarah Arison – YoungArts, the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts; Yolanda Berkowitz – Voices for Children; Carolina Arellano Cejas – CHARLEE Homes for Children; Sara Colombo – Shake a Leg; Laure Heriard Dubreuil – Miami Children’s Hospital; Raysa Fanjul – Mission International Rescue Foundation; Alicia Cervera Lamadrid -The Mercy Hospital Foundation; Darlene Perez – The United Cerebral Palsy Association of Miami; Claudia Potamkin -Honey Shine; Daniela Swaebe – Community Partnership for Homeless
The celebration continued with a formal runway show and shopping event where a percentage of sales from the evening benefited the honoree’s charities of choice. Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Calypso, Diane von Furstenberg, Elie Tahari, Jimmy Choo, Lancome, Max Mara, Roberto Coin, Tiffany & Co., Tod’s and Wolford were among the brands that supported the event.
