Celebrated Musical Artists Pay Homage to Jimi at ‘Experience Hendrix Tour’ at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Wednesday, Feb. 24

The critically acclaimed “Experience Hendrix Tour” kicks off at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. Fans will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Anchoring the tour is Billy Cox, the legendary bassist for both The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys, whose relationship with Jimi Hendrix and his music dates back to the early 1960s when the two met while serving in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division. The two bonded over their love of music and would later work together backing R&B acts on the “Chitlin’ Circuit.” They reunited when Cox was recruited to be part of the Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsys, as well as the ultimate iteration of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, performing at such landmark festivals as Woodstock and the Isle of Wight.

The Hard Rock Live performance will also feature Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Eric Johnson, Dweezil Zappa, Keb’ Mo’, Mato Nanji, Noah Hunt, Henri Brown and more.

The “Experience Hendrix Tour” has been paying homage to the musical genius of Jimi Hendrix for over a decade, bringing together a diverse, all-star line-up of musical greats who will jam out in style honoring the man who was designated by Rolling Stone as “The Greatest Guitarist of All Time.”

The tour evokes the era when artists treated each performance as a unique interaction with their audience. Hendrix called this his “electric church.” The Experience Hendrix Tour fully embraces this approach, presenting multiple opportunities for performers and audiences to witness unique collaborations among the participating artists and will highlight these artists performing their favorite Hendrix signature songs including “Little Wing”, “Fire”, “Purple Haze” and “Voodoo Child (Slight Return)”.
