Breitling, the independent Swiss watch brand, is pleased to announce that the Breitling Jet Team will be launching the second year of their American Tour in 2016. The prestigious aerobatic display team is the first and largest of its kind; comprised of seven pilots flying L-39 C Albatros jets in a sophisticated demonstration of precision and speed, at times reaching 565 mph and flying within just a few feet of each other. The highly-anticipated 2016 American Tour will take the Jet Team from coast to coast across the United States and Canada.

“The 2015 tour was really unbelievable as the Breitling Jet Team performed for thousands of people across North America, so we were really excited to bring the team back for the second year of their inaugural North American Tour,” Breitling USA President Thierry Prissert said. “The response from last year’s tour, was overwhelming and the audiences who came out to see the team last year were simply amazing and excited. The team’s precision and synchronized movement perfectly encapsulates the essence of Breitling and our watches.”

The 2015 American Tour was extremely well received with aviation enthusiasts from across North America coming to see the team’s breathtaking performance at nearly 17 air shows in the U.S. and Canada. The team also had an impressive view of some famous North American landmarks, with iconic flights over the Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Mount Rushmore, among others.

“The team had an amazing time last year and we couldn’t wait to come back for another incredible exhibition across North America,” Jacques Bothelin, Breitling Jet Team Leader, said. “We were excited to kick the year off at the Melbourne Air & Space Show in Melbourne, FL – a new venue for the team – where the reception was very positive and welcoming.”
