BEACH BASH 2010 RAISES OVER $72,000 FOR THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION

Over 600 of South Florida’s Finest Professionals Indulged in Tasty Delicacies from South Florida’s Hottest Restaurants and Danced the Night Away To the Cool Vibes of DJ Tamara Sky

The inclement weather last Thursday night couldn’t stop over 600 of South Florida’s hottest social notables, trendsetters and philanthropists from making BEACH BASH 2010,   Fort Lauderdale’s “Sexiest Party of the Year”.  BEACH BASH 2010, presented by The Wasie Foundation, took place on Thursday, November 4th in the Panorama Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66.  During the event, which netted over $72,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, attendees danced the night away to the cool vibes of DJ Tamara Sky and indulged in tasty delicacies from local restaurants including The Capital Grille, Steak 954, Chima, SoLita Las Olas, Trulucks, Valentino’s Cucina Italian, Tokyo Blue, Hyatt Regency Pier 66, Totally Bananas and Blue Bell Ice Cream.  Cocktails were poured by Premier Beverage.

“What a great night – Beach Bash 2010 was spectacular – we are so appreciative of everyone who came out to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,” said Jen Klaassens, Director of Programs for The Wasie Foundation.  “DJ Tamara Sky lit up the room, the Ocean Drive VIP Lounge was stunning and everyone couldn’t get enough of the amazing food and drinks provided by our restaurants and sponsors.”

For the magnificent evening, the Panorama Ballroom and its terrace was transformed into a mystical sea of glowing tones of blue, purple and white.  Giant “live” human lamps mingled with guests and helped to accentuate the electric vibe resonating from the dance floor.  Guests of the exclusive Ocean Drive VIP Lounge were treated to delectable Lobster Crab Cakes, Tuna Tandoori, Sirloin Crostini and Parmesean Truffle Fries from The Capital Grille and scrumptious chocolate covered bananas from Totally Bananas.  Guests in the the main ballroom and outside terrace were treated to tasty home-cooked Italian Meatballs from SoLita Las Olas; Asian Tacos from Tokyo Blue; Snapper Tiradito from Steak 954; Lamp Chops from Chima; Baja Ceviche from Trulucks; Lamb Sausage Ragu from Valentino’s and assorted Hand Dipped Ice Cream Flavors from Blue Bell Ice Cream.  Cabana sponsors and their guests enjoyed all of the evening’s delectables and unlimited bottle service.  Upon entrance to the event, all attendees were encouraged to a “throw of the dice” for a chance to win a brand new Ford Fiesta.

Proceeds from BEACH BASH 2010 and the AT&T JEB BUSH Florida Classic Presented by Ford and Premier Beverage benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. BEACH BASH 2010 was also sponsored by Patriot Risk Management, Clear Channel, Tropical Seas and Designs by Sean.
