Avant Gallery presents its annual mega exhibition: Pictures & Furniture, Dec. 4-9 during Art Basel/Design Miami

Avant Gallery is pleased to present its annual mega show – Pictures & Furniture – taking place December 4-9, during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami.

In its fourth year, P&F is a hybrid and dynamic exhibition that celebrates contemporary art, design and lifestyle with the focus on the cutting-edge and the collectible.
Some of the emerging as well as world-renowned talent that Avant will feature this year include the following:

Alec Monopoly – an LA-based, unidentified street artist speaking through the iconic board game character of the Monopoly man.

Vito Acconci – this year’s winner of Design Miami’s International Designer of the Year award.

Damien Hirst – the most prominent member of the group known as the Young British Artists, who has become one of the most influential and widely recognized artists of his generation. Avant will present a new highly limited edition of Hirst’s woodcut prints, signed/numbered by the artist.

Kevin McHugh – a NYC-based artist/sculptor who describes the inspiration behind his work as a cross between Jacque Cousteau and his mentor, Patricia Field. Kevin will present his new Pucci-inspired fish sculpture embedded with Swarovski crystals.

Guy Le Baube – a Franco-American fashion and art photographer, internationally collected and renowned for his graceful nudes.

Alejandro Vigilante – internationally renowned for his iPop concept where he cleverly incorporates themes of the Internet.

STMTS – an Athens-based street artist, who came to fame in 2012 with one of the most viral and now-iconic mural images, I LOVE LIFE.

Chad Jensen- whose core principal of work is to cross-pollinate fine art with design.

Nathan Sawaya – some artists use paint, others bronze – but for Nathan Sawaya he chooses to build his awe-inspiring art out of toy building blocks. LEGO® bricks to be exact. Nathan has been recently named #8 on ArtNet’s list of Top 300 artists. Nathan follows Damien Hirst, who came in at #7.

Mick Rock – often referred to as The Man Who Shot the Seventies, legendary rock and roll photographer Mick Rock’s images are available as collectible limited edition prints. Avant will present his new Legend collection, along with Etchings in collaboration with Christian Lewis.

Marco Costa – an award-winning prodigy from Portugal who makes every effort to honor the union between graceful furniture design and exuberant craftsmanship.
