Art Miami, in its 25th year, is the city’s original and longest running contemporary and modern art fair. This significant benchmark in the art world will be celebrated when it kicks off Miami Art Week with a VIP Private Preview on Tuesday, December 2 benefiting the Pérez Art Museum Miami. This year’s fair will showcase 130 international art galleries from sixteen countries, including 28 new exhibitors. Maintaining a preeminent position in America’s contemporary art fair market, Art Miami drew a record-breaking attendance of 72,500 visitors in 2013 and continues to be a “can’t miss event” for serious collectors, art advisors, curators, museum professionals and interior designers.
- · CONTEXT – The sister fair to Art Miami, CONTEXT is dedicated to the development and reinforcement of emerging and mid-career artists, launched in 2012. CONTEXT’s open atmosphere creates a meaningful dialogue between artists, galleries and collectors while providing the ultimate platform for established and emerging galleries to present cutting-edge and emergent talent. Eighty international galleries will exhibit this year.
- · Aqua Art Miami – In its 10th year, Aqua Art Miami is critically recognized for presenting vibrant and noteworthy international art programs showcasing emerging and mid-career artists. Set within a classic Art Deco hotel on South Beach with spacious exhibition rooms that open onto a charming courtyard, the unique fair has become a favorite gathering spot. Under its first year of new ownership by Art Miami LLC, Aqua 2013 closed on a high note with record breaking sales and overall attendance of more than 10,000 visitors, double that of previous years. Aqua 2014 will feature 46 international exhibitors and a dynamic range of high-quality art in all media from painting, photography and works on paper to design, sculpture, installation, video and multimedia art.
Art Miami and CONTEXT will take place at the Art Miami Pavilion in the Midtown/Wynwood Arts District while Aqua Art Miami will take place at the Aqua Hotel in Miami Beach.
