There are few chefs in the world who have accomplished more than ERIC RIPERT. Since he was named as executive chef, Le Bernardin has maintained a three-star Michelin rating and is the only restaurant to have earned five consecutive four-star ratings from The New York TimesRIPERT has received four James Beard Awards including “Outstanding Chef of the Year” and “Best Chef in New York,” starred in three seasons of the Emmy Award-winning Avec Eric on PBS-TV and the Cooking Channel, and is a regular guest on Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown on CNN.

Before all of this and even before he knew how to make a proper hollandaise sauce,RIPERT was a young boy in the South of France who found solace from a difficult childhood in his mother’s kitchen. His debut memoir, 32 Yolks, takes readers from his birthplace of Antibes, France to some of the most celebrated and demanding kitchens in Paris, serving under legendary chefs such as Joel Robuchon and Dominique Bouchet.
