The DANISH NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA was founded as a radio orchestra in 1925, as part of the launch of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. Its present home in Copenhagen, designed by Jean Nuvel, and inaugurated in 2009, is considered one of the most spectacular concert halls in the world. Winner of the 2014 Solti Conducting Award, CRISTIAN MĂCELARU has established himself as one of the most dynamic rising stars of the conducting world.
