Acqualina Resort & Spa’s Trump family, Stephanie, Jules, and Eddie Trump, are excited to host the 21st annual “I Have a Dream” Foundation Miami Gala, on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016 at 6:30pm at Turnberry Isle in Aventura, Florida. The Trump family founded the Miami-Dade chapter of the Foundation in 1995.
Guests who attend the Gala are in store for a magical evening. The Gala will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, music, and a live auction. All the funds raised at the live auction will benefit the I Have a Dream Foundation Miami Dreamers, and all proceeds of the silent auction will be placed into scholarships and operation funds for the Andover Middle School in Miami Gardens. The school funds will supply necessities such as books and clothing in addition to licensed staff including social workers and teachers.
The I Have a Dream Foundation provides children in low-income communities the opportunity to pursue higher education, capitalize on their talents, and fulfill their leadership potential by offering the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. The Foundation guarantees the children’s academic tuition at a Florida state university for a four-year degree or at an accredited trade school. Currently, 48 the Dreamers are now enrolled at Dr. Michael M. Krop High School in Miami.
“We are honored to be part of this incredible program. We are preparing our Dreams to become proud and productive citizens by giving them the necessary tools they need to make their dreams a reality. Many of these Dreams will be the first in their family to graduate high school, let alone go on to college.” says Stephanie Trump, owner, Acqualina Resort & Spa. “We provide private tutoring four days a week, summer school, in addition to coordinating college campus visits. It is so rewarding to see our students after the program who have gone on to successful career paths.”
