The art of Carlos Estévez reveals an interest in the link between human spirituality and the infinity of human experience. He explores notions of symbolism, time, anatomy, metaphysics and the cosmos in a quest for understanding that transcends the visual to enter the realm of the mind in complex works in different media.
Tonight’s presentation highlights the artist’s work from 1992 to 2018, as featured in a current exhibition organized by the Tucson Museum of Art. The exhibit is guest-curated by Dr. Carol Damian and features a limited edition, full color, hardbound, catalogue, Carlos Estevez: Entelechy ($50) with an essay by Dr. Damian. Damian will introduce the artist, who will present a slideshow of his work, followed by a Q&A with Cristina Nosti of Books & Books.
