37th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference

Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), a worldwide leading resource for continuing medical education (CME), will is pleased to announce that Dr. Anees Chagpar will be joining the prestigious panel of program co-chairs at the 37th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference® at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, Florida from March 5-8, 2020.

Dr Chagpar will join meeting chair Dr. Patrick I. Borgen, chair of the department of surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The following co-chairs will join Dr. Borgen as leaders of the 2020 conference:

  • Dr. Anees B. Chagpar, professor, department of surgery, Yale School of Medicine, Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center.
  • Dr. Hope S. Rugo, professor of medicine, department of medicine (hematology/oncology); director, breast oncology clinical trials program; University of California, San Francisco, Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
  • Dr. Debu Tripathy, professor and chair, department of breast medical oncology, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

For 37 years, the Miami Breast Cancer Conference® has brought together surgical, medical and radiation oncologists, to foster awareness of state-of-the-art treatments in each therapeutic area and encourage cross-team cooperation in their clinics. During this four-day conference pioneers of innovative approaches in each of these subspecialties will provide insight into the optimal multidisciplinary management of patients with breast cancer and its application to practice.

To kick off the conference, a mini-symposium will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 that will offer an additional educational opportunity for attendees who plan to arrive in Miami, the day before the official conference begins. This special session will follow the format of a world-class tumor board, featuring cases and discussions that highlight challenging clinical situations commonly faced by surgeons and oncologists.
