11TH ANNUAL ORange BOwl YOUTH FOOTBALL ALLIANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD AT FIU Stadium

The 11th annual Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance (OBYFA) Championships will take place, December 12 and December 13 at FIU Stadium in west Miami-Dade County. The two-day championship event, televised by Sun Sports, pits champions from most of the eight OBYFA leagues against each other to crown winners in their respective weight-class divisions.  Among those leagues participating in this weekend’s action include the Dick Conley Youth Football League, Glades Tri-City Youth Athletic League, Key West Junior Football League, Miami Extreme Youth Football League, National Youth Football League of America, Palm Beach Youth Football League and Western Communities Football League.

Additionally, scholar-athletes from across the OBYFA will be recognized during an on-field presentation throughout the weekend.  These scholar-athletes from across the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance have been nominated by their coaches and park officials since the OBYFA began play earlier this season in order to distinguish those who excel both on the field and in the classroom.  Those honored will receive a Scholar-Athlete of the Month certificates presented by Michael Irvin’s PlayMaker Charities and Foundation Inc., a medal of academic achievement, recognition on the Orange Bowl website and four tickets to the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic.
